Climate Equity: Women As Agents Of Change

The National Commission on Status of Women and UNDP Pakistan collaborated to publish the report "Climate Equity: Women As Agents Of Change." The report's conclusions were reached after a thorough desk study of sectoral practices and policies, key informant interviews, and nationwide consultation sessions held in Pakistan's provincial capitals, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. A wide range of gender and climate change experts were brought together for these consultations, including policymakers, government officials, business leaders, community-based organization's, academics, and media representatives. In order to improve resilience and lessen vulnerability for women who rely on natural surroundings for their livelihoods and sustenance, the research makes policy recommendations.
